Aly Wagner was named Second-Team NSCAA All-American, First-Team All-WCC and the WCC Freshman of the Year and was awarded the 2002 Hermann Trophy as the top collegiate soccer player in the country. Before achieving her B.S. in Combined Sciences, she led Santa Clara to the NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship in 2001. Aly was a midfielder for the U.S. WNT from 1999 to 2008. She was a member of the 2003 and 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cups™ and the 2004 and 2008 Olympic teams, winning two gold medals. Aly is now a broadcaster with Fox Sports, was lead game analyst for the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ and made history as the first woman to call a televised Men’s FIFA World Cup™ game.
