Markkula Center Ethics Internships and Fellowships

The Markkula Center for Applied Ethics has facilitated mission-driven and transformational internship and fellowship opportunities to Santa Clara University students for decades, preparing them to address complex ethical issues. Through community partnerships, the Markkula Center has expanded these student initiatives across multiple disciplines. Currently, these transformative experiences are available to a limited number of students. Increased financial support would allow the Markkula Center to double the capacity of these programs and support the Center’s ongoing commitment to engaging a broader, more diverse pool of students, including dedicated spaces to students who are the first in their family to attend college.

Meet the Environmental Ethics Fellows

The Fellowship in Environmental Ethics is awarded to outstanding undergraduates to support a project that examines the ethical implications of an environmental topic of their choosing.

Meet the Health Care Ethics Interns

The Health Care Ethics Internship program provides undergraduate students an opportunity to undergo clinical rotations and weekly reflection sessions where they interact with nationally and locally recognized health related experts.
